Head coach Jory Collins has announced the addition of Ashley Davis to the North Dakota State women’s basketball coaching staff.
Davis comes to NDSU with 18 years of Division I coaching experience, including the last three seasons at Oklahoma State as an assistant coach.
“I couldn’t be more excited for our program to add Ashley Davis as an assistant coach,” said Collins. “She has had a major impact on every program she’s coached in, and I expect her to come in and continue to raise the bar for Bison women’s basketball. Ashley has a ton of experience at the highest level and coached in multiple NCAA tournaments. Her ability to mentor, connect, and grow young women through the game of basketball will be a tremendous asset for everyone involved with our program.”
Davis had two separate stints at Oklahoma State as an assistant coach from 2023-26 and as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator from 2015-21. The San Antonio, Texas native helped the Cowgirls to five NCAA Tournament appearances and one WNIT appearance. Davis also assisted in the development of four All-Americans and three WNBA Draft picks.

Davis has also had stops at Arizona from 2021-23 as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator where she guided the Wildcats to two NCAA Tournament appearances. Prior to Arizona, Davis had stints at North Texas as the associate head coach from 2012-15 and Georgetown from 2008-12 as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator. She helped the Hoyas to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2011.
Davis was a four-year letterwinner at TCU and was a two-time All-Conference selection. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2005 and earned her master’s in educational administration in 2007.
