Blair Estarfaa has been named an assistant coach with Furman’s women’s basketball program, it was announced today by head coach Pierre Curtis.

Estarfaa joins Furman’s staff after serving in a similar capacity at Campbell, where he played a role in the Camels’ 20-15 season that included a 13-5, second place finish in the Coastal Athletic Association.

“Blair’s experience at every level and in every aspect of a program are qualities that stood out in the interview process,” said Curtis.  “He has been part of winning programs, and we are excited about him bringing that attitude to our wing group and entire program.”

Prior to his short stint at Campbell, Estarfaa served as head coach at Buffalo State University for two seasons (2024-25) following one year at Syracuse, where he held the position of video coordinator and director of player personnel.

Estarfaa spent three years (2020-22) at the University of Buffalo – the first year as director of basketball operations and final two campaigns as assistant coach, where he played a role in the Bulls posting a 25-9 record, winning the 2022 MAC championship, and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament.

He served as men’s assistant coach and junior varsity head coach at Daemen (N.Y) University for two years (2018-19) after launching his coaching career as a men’s assistant coach at Alfred (N.Y.) University in 2016.

Estarfaa secured his undergraduate degree in 2016 SUNY Cortland, where he was an all-conference and all-region performer on the court and member of two conference championship squads.
