Stetson head women’s basketball coach Melissa DeVore has announced the additions of Brittany Drew as an assistant coach and Kristynn Knight as a graduate assistant, completing the Hatters’ coaching staff for the 2026-27 season.
Drew and Knight join assistant coaches Ryan McGee and Reggie Mosley as part of DeVore’s inaugural staff in DeLand.
Drew arrives at Stetson after spending the past two seasons on the staff at UNC Wilmington, where she served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. During her time with the Seahawks, she helped coach the 2025 CAA Defensive Player of the Year, multiple all-conference performers, and a professional player while contributing to recruiting and player development efforts.
Prior to joining the collegiate ranks, Drew compiled more than 100 career victories as head coach at High Point Christian Academy. A two-time Piedmont Triad Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, she guided the Lady Cougars to three NCISAA 3A State Championship appearances and three conference championships while developing numerous all-conference and all-state performers.
A native of Greensboro, N.C., Drew was an accomplished player at Guilford College, where she scored more than 870 career points and ranks among the program leaders in games played and three-pointers made.
Knight joins the Hatters after a standout four-year playing career under DeVore at Coker University. A three-year starter and two-time South Atlantic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection, Knight helped lead the Cobras to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and conference championships.
As a senior, Knight earned All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team honors after averaging 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. The Winston-Salem, N.C., native closed the regular season by scoring in double figures in seven of her final eight games, including a career-high-tying 21-point performance against Emory & Henry. Knight finished her playing career as a key contributor during the most successful era in Coker history, helping the Cobras advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in 2025 and capture the South Atlantic Conference Tournament championship in 2026.
“Brittany and Kristynn each bring qualities that make them outstanding additions to our program,” DeVore said. “Brittany has established herself as an exceptional coach and recruiter with strong ties throughout the Southeast. She has a passion for serving others, connecting with people, and helping young women reach their full potential. Kristynn brings firsthand knowledge of our system and culture after a successful playing career, and her leadership, work ethic, and understanding of what it takes to build a winning program will make an immediate impact.”
Earlier this offseason, DeVore announced the additions of assistant coaches Ryan McGee and Reggie Mosley.
McGee arrives in DeLand after three seasons at Francis Marion University, where he helped guide the Patriots to a combined 63-25 record, two NCAA Division II Southeast Regional appearances, and back-to-back Conference Carolinas championships. Throughout his career, he has helped develop multiple All-Americans, conference players of the year, and professional players while overseeing recruiting, player development, and program operations.
Mosley reunites with DeVore after spending the previous two seasons on her staff at Coker University. During that time, the Cobras posted a 55-13 record, captured a South Atlantic Conference regular-season championship and tournament title, and earned back-to-back NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, including a trip to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2025. Known for his energy on the recruiting trail and commitment to player development, Mosley helped mentor multiple all-conference performers while playing a key role in Coker’s rise to national prominence.
“One of the most important things in building a program is surrounding your student-athletes with great people,” DeVore said. “Ryan, Reggie, Brittany and Kristynn are all individuals who lead with integrity, work relentlessly, and care deeply about the people around them. I’m grateful to have them alongside me as we begin this next chapter at Stetson.”
The Hatters are coming off a 20-win season and a semifinal appearance in the 2026 ASUN Championship as DeVore and her staff begin preparations for the 2026-27 campaign.
