D3 NEWS: Elliott steps down as Women’s Basketball Coach at Haverford

Haverford College Athletics announced today that Head Women’s Basketball Coach Grace Elliott will depart the College effective June 30 to pursue opportunities outside collegiate athletics.

Elliott took over the helm of the program in 2022 as the Fords reached the Centennial Conference Semifinals during her first season with the squad. That season also saw Kayla Robinson earn Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors.

In four seasons, the Fords went 45-56 and were consistently one of the strongest academic programs both on campus and within the Centennial Conference, earning WBCA Academic Honor Roll Special Mention in all four seasons.

“It has been a privilege to lead the Haverford program and to be part of a community with such a strong tradition, pride, and commitment to excellence,” said Elliott. “I am proud of what we built together and excited for what comes next as I pursue new opportunities.”

“We thank Grace for her leadership and contributions over the past four seasons,” said Interim Director of Athletics Jason Rash. “She has been an incredibly valued colleague and has made a tremendous impact across the athletics department. We are grateful for everything she has given to the College and wish her continued success in all that lies ahead.”

A comprehensive national search for the next head coach of the women’s basketball program is underway.
