Tennessee women’s basketball head coach Kim Caldwell announced Monday that she has hired NC State veteran Brandon Miller as her program’s director of video and strategy. He replaces Josh Theis, who departed after five seasons as the Lady Vols’ video coordinator to pursue an assistant coaching position.

“I am really pleased to add an experienced Power 4 veteran like Brandon to our program,” Caldwell said. “He was a trusted member of Wes Moore’s staff at NC State, has been to two Final Fours and brings a wealth of knowledge from his stops at other schools as well. Our whole office is excited to add him to the mix, and we look forward to working alongside him.”

Miller spent nine seasons as a member of Moore’s women’s basketball staff. During his tenure in Raleigh, he served as the Wolfpack’s director of scouting and video operations. While there, NC State made eight NCAA appearances, including a Final Four trip in 2023-24. It also won three ACC regular season titles and three league tournament crowns as well, sweeping the hardware in 2021-22.

Prior to making the move to NCSU, Miller spent two seasons at Boston College. He served as video production analyst for the women’s basketball team during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 campaigns under head coach Erik Johnson.

From 2012-15, Miller was at North Texas as the team’s director of basketball operations. He also spent two seasons prior to that as the video coordinator at Clemson (2010-12) and two seasons as the video coordinator at Louisville (2008-10), going to the 2008-09 Final Four in a runner-up finish for the Cardinals.

A 2004 graduate of High Point University, Miller earned a degree in business administration and sport management. He also has an M.S. in sport management that he earned in 2007 from the University of Florida while serving as a graduate assistant for the UF women’s basketball team from 2005-07.
