Judi Thurman is no longer the head women’s basketball coach at D3 Rhodes College. There has not been an official announcement, but according to the Lynx website, assistant coach Matt Dean has been elevated to interim head coach.
Thurman took over the Rhodes program back in 2023 after spending four seasons as an assist coach for the Lynx. During her 2+ seasons at the helm, Thurman put together a 29-45 (.392) record, including a 7-16 (3-9 SAA) mark this season.
Dean has spent 35 years at Rhoades in various roles, serving as the head women’s coach for 15 of them (2002-17). He left the bench with a career record of 230-166 (.581).
Rhodes has two regular season games remaining.
