Emmanuel College is seeking a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball program. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Head Coach Andy Yosinoff, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of running a successful NCAA Division III program while contributing to Emmanuel’s Athletics department under Athletic Director Olivia Berry. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. 1. Recruitment: Assist in identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes who align with Emmanuel’s values and commitment to diversity, helping to build a competitive and inclusive team within the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

• Coaching & Mentorship: Support the development of student-athletes through coaching, film breakdown, scouting reports, and practice/game planning. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that prioritizes the holistic growth of student-athletes.

• Retention & Academic Support: Work closely with student-athletes to ensure their academic success and personal development. Meet regularly with assigned position groups to monitor progress and provide mentorship, aligning with Emmanuel’s mission to support students both on and off the court

• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to NCAA regulations and Sports Performance expectations, ensuring safe and effective training during both traditional and non-traditional seasons

Additional Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships within the Emmanuel College community, including faculty, staff, and students
• Attend departmental and College-wide meetings and events, representing the Women’s Basketball program and the Department of Athletics
• Collaborate with College offices to coordinate and facilitate athletic events, fostering a sense of community and engagement
• Maintain positive relationships with alumni, parents, officials, volunteers, and fans, serving as an ambassador for Emmanuel College
• Promote Emmanuel College and its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion both on campus and in the broader community

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and collegiate basketball playing experience
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in coaching, recruiting, or mentoring student-athletes
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
