Detailed Description:
Assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in the development of student-athletes through court work and video analysis. This position will be responsible for day-to-day player development on and off the court. Through video analysis and on-court development sessions, this position will ensure the student-athlete development. Using video technology, this position will complete the filming of all Women’s Basketball games and practices, and use that video to design, implement, and evaluate developmental goals for the team and its players. The position will use video software and analytics to determine player efficiencies and development goals to improve performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Player Development:
- Assist with the skill and player development of current student-athletes. Work with individual players before and after practice, when requested.
- Individual skill sessions, staying within the NCAA regulations, for individual player workouts.
- Implement new and creative ideas for post and guard development.
- Conduct film breakdown – evaluate practice film to watch with individual players.
Video Coordination and Analysis:
- Utilize basketball analytics techniques and software for player and team efficiency.
- Data collection – in practices and games.
- Collaborate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of player developmental goals, as well as implementation of player development plans to fulfill these goals.
- Oversee NCAA film requirements and ensure that all West Coast Conference video exchange requirements are met, including technical requirements and deadlines.
- Assist with game day video set up.
- Assist with social media posts.
Camp Coordination:
- Assist the Camp Director with day-to-day operations of executing Individual, Elite and Team Camp.
