Defiance College, located in Northwest Ohio, seeks applications for an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The Defiance College Yellow Jackets will officially join the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) on July 1, 2024 for competition in the 2024-25 academic year and will become full members of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).

Under the direction of the Head Coach, responsibilities will include coaching, recruiting, fund raising, strength & conditioning, developing annual service/engagement projects for student-athletes, practice planning and preparation, scheduling, assisting head coach in all phases of student-athlete mentoring and evaluation, academic monitoring, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the mission of Defiance College, as well as adherence to institutional, NAIA, and WHAC policies and procedures. 

A bachelor’s degree, previous collegiate coaching and recruiting experience, and a valid driver’s license are required; master’s degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills, successful recruiting experience, and the ability to lead and serve our student-athletes.
