Ty Evans, the head women’s basketball coach at Tennessee State University, has resigned after four seasons at the helm, as announced by TSU Athletic Director Dr. Mikki Allen.

“Today, Coach Evans informed me of his decision to step down as our head women’s basketball coach,” said Allen. 

During his tenure, the women’s basketball program reached the OVC Tournament three consecutive seasons, securing opening-round victories in 2022 and 2024.

“I want to thank Coach Ty for his contributions to our women’s basketball program and wish him well in his future endeavors,” Allen stated. 

The program will initiate a national search for Evans’ successor immediately.
