Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Athletic Director, Dwight Merilatt, announced the promotion of Tyler Bullock to head women’s basketball coach. Bullock served as interim head coach for one year during the 2022-23 season.
“I’m excited to announce Tyler Bullock as our permanent head women’s basketball coach,” said Merilatt. “Tyler has done a very good job of bringing our women’s basketball team together in a very short time. He has created a positive and energetic culture for our women’s basketball student-athletes. I look forward to him leading our team and establishing a prominent presence within the American Rivers Conference.”
Arriving in late September, Bullock was able to enhance the team’s efforts and build a positive culture surrounding the program. This past season, the Prairie Wolves improved in almost every statistical category from a season ago.
“I am beyond excited to be returning next season as the head coach here at Nebraska Wesleyan,” said Bullock. NWU is a special place and the vision that Athletic Director Dwight Merilatt has for this school is an inspiration and something I am grateful to be a part of. There is a lot of work to be done starting this summer, however, I am looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
Bullock will serve as the 11th head coach in program history, dating back to 1974.
