The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking to hire a skilled and versatile Assistant Coach/Director of Scouting, Women’s Basketball who will be responsible for assisting the Women’s Basketball Head Coach in leading a successful women’s basketball program at Georgia State University.  The Assistant Coach/Director of Scouting will provide support to the Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball team in all aspects of academic monitoring, on court coaching, strength, and conditioning, recruiting, and retaining qualified student-athletes, planning of team practice, organization of team meetings, film study, scheduling competition and travel coordination.

The scope of responsibility will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following:

  • Leads scouting for opponent and in house.
  • Plans Future Game Schedules.
  • Develops and produce video playbooks.
  • Provides Sun Belt Official oversight.
  • Works towards improving Season Player development to the individual player and on court development.
  • Assists with academic monitoring through weekly meetings and follow up activities.
  • Assists with all aspects of the recruitment process from evaluation to signing day.
  • Provides assistance to Day, Elite, and Team Camp programs.
  • Assist in alumni relations.
  • Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.  Knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures is required
