Under the direction of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Womens’ Basketball Coach will assist with all aspects of developing and managing a successful women’s basketball program.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assists in the recruitment of qualified student-athletes for the basketball program
• Supports the academic success of student-athletes
• Assists with practice planning and player development
• Assists with scouting and game preparation
• Team supervision at all away games
• Administrative duties as assigned
• Adheres to all Vermont Technical College and USCAA policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum one year experience coaching basketball at the high school or college level
• Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes and athletic department staff
• Willingness and ability to work nights and weekends
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience playing basketball at the varsity or college level
• Experience recruiting at the small college level
• Familiarity with high school/AAU basketball in the state of Vermont
