This position is responsible for assisting the Head Coach with all facets of the Women’s Basketball program including, but not limited to, the areas listed below. The primary emphasis for thisposition is the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes and assisting in the administration of a competitive NCAA Division III women’s basketball program.

Job Description

Recruitment of qualified student-athletes, including coordinating on-campus visits as well as planning recruiting trips

Organize and implement practice and game preparation as assigned

Organizing and monitoring equipment distribution and collection

Responsible for managing video exchange software as well as maintaining recruiting software and handling social media responsibilities

Coordinate study hall sessions for student-athletes

Assist with budget management and help with organization of team travel

Game day set up and other facilities related maintenance

Compliance with all NCAA, SAA, and Hendrix College rules, regulations and responsibilities

Other duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree required.

Preference will be given to the candidate who has basketball playing and coaching experience at the intercollegiate level and who can demonstrate a proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes who fit the academic profile of the current student body.

The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to work effectively with faculty and staff, as well as other members of the College community.

The successful applicant will be able to successfully articulate the values of a liberal arts education along with the role intercollegiate athletics plays in the development of student –athletes.
