Description:

The USC Women’s Basketball program is seeking qualified candidates for a Director of Player Development. This position is responsible for assisting players with personal growth off the court and basketball skill development on the court. The Director of Player Development regularly interfaces with the athletics department administration as a liaison to various student-athlete facing services provided by the athletics program. It is a critical role to provide overall welfare support in all facets of the experience for the student-athletes.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage overall recruiting database.
  • Assist coaches with individualized player development programs (to include, but not limited to: skill development, video assessment, nutrition, goal setting)
  • Assist with additional on and off campus recruiting, in accordance with NCAA rules.
  • Assist with community service.
  • Contribute to marketing and promotion planning.
  • Assist with game day management.
  • Assist with camps & clinics.
  • Ensure compliance with both national and university policies.
  • Counsel and advise members of the team.
  • Perform other related duties, incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree Minimum Experience: 5 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Administrative or project administration experience.
