Responsibilities: Coach guards in concert with the expectations of the Head Coach. Perform all phases of recruitment including but not limited to: identify prospects, arrange campus visits, maintain adequate communication, manage data base, meet goals in each area. Break down practice, game and opponent film. Create scouting reports. Monitor academics. Assist in planning practice. Instruct individual skills and team concepts. Willingness to assist in social media production. Teach a 1-credit skill class in each semester. Perform athletic department duties as assigned by the athletic director. Such duties may include: game day management, facility supervision, intramural supervision, sports information assistance or other.

Expectations: Uphold the high professional standard of conduct expected of each person on campus and outlined in our Employee Handbook. Role model for student athletes by building positive interpersonal relationships in and out of the athletic department. Attend staff meetings, faculty meetings and College functions, both social and professional, and serve on committees. Assist our student athletes in charting their own path to success by knowing how to access academic and social adjustment resources. Foster a cooperative work environment and provide mutual support to all constituencies and colleagues. Represent the program and Marietta College with sportsmanship, integrity, and a high degree of professionalism. Travel with the team and to recruit. Work on weekends and evenings, in all types of outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally lift heavy items of 50 pounds or more.
