Wilmington University women’s basketball head coach Jamie Hensley is stepping down after two seasons at the helm of the Wildcats.
Hensley took over the program midway through the 2018-19 season on an interim basis before officially being named the head coach for the 2019-20 season. She helped lead the Wildcats to 11 wins in her two seasons.
Hensley graduated from Wilmington University in 2010 after a successful playing career under former coaches Bill Cleary and Rob Miller. She rejoined the Wildcats as an assistant from 2011-2013 before moving on to take the Tome School head varsity girls coaching position in North East, Maryland, for four seasons. She then returned to WilmU as an assistant coach for Rob Miller in 2018.
A national search for a new women’s basketball head coach is actively underway.
