Shepherd University has an immediate opening for an assistant coach for its Division II Women’s Basketball program. This is a full-time 9 month position with State benefits from mid-August to mid-May. The applicant will assist with all facets of the women’s basketball program as assigned by the Head Coach including student-athlete recruitment, scouting, academic monitoring of players, game and practice planning, fundraising, and on-the-court coaching. As a Lecturer, the applicant will be responsible for teaching six credit hours/semester of coursework in Shepherd’s Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports Department and will serve on committees, assist with accreditation processes and programmatic review. This position is split 50% basketball coaching and 50% teaching.
