| Description: | Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Department of Athletics is a vital part of student life and the educational process at Elizabeth City State University. It provides a well-rounded schedule of college athletic competition designed to encourage participation by the student body. The department encourages physical fitness and the development of physical skills and emotional control. Description of Work The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for planning and directing the recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of women’s basketball student athletes, along with fiscal program management for the women’s basketball program. The position is also responsible for ensuring that all women’s basketball coaches and staff, individuals and groups representing ECSU’s women’s basketball and athletic program remain in compliance with all institutional, CIAA, NCAA, and Title IX regulations. |
