The United States Naval Academy invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Basketball Coach.The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for all aspects of a highly competitive and nationally recognized NCAA Division 1 basketball program in the Patriot League. Coaching responsibilities will also include the assembly of a high caliber coaching staff, public relations, fiscal management, and most importantly, the recruitment of student-athletes who meet the academic and physical entrance requirements for an appointment to the Naval Academy. Knowledge of, and a commitment to compliance with, NCAA and Naval Academy regulations, as well as dedication to the moral, mental and physical development of midshipmen are paramount considerations. Applicants of impeccable personal and professional integrity who have demonstrated leadership in collegiate basketball coaching are invited to apply.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Candidates must have an extensive and accomplished coaching background in the sport of basketball, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a proven ability to recruit quality student athletes. Priority consideration will be given to those candidates who have demonstrated successful coaching achievement at the as a Head Coach.
