These coaches are now eligible to receive the WHoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year Award presented by Pivot Analysis which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2019-20 college basketball season.

The Week 4 winners are:
NCAA DI: Bethann Shapiro Ord – Binghamton University
Two more victories this week have Coach Ord’s squad off to the best start in the program’s Division I history. The Bearcats took a 78-67 win over Eastern Michigan on Sunday before putting their undefeated record on the line at Cornell. Binghamton hit a go-ahead jumper with 10 seconds remaining and came away with a 59-56 victory to move to 9-0 on the season. The 9-0 start is the best since Binghamton was a member of NCAA DII in the 1998-99 season, and the nine game winning streak is the program’s best since the 2000-01 season. The Bearcats will attempt to continue their historic start in a tough road matchup against Miami next Tuesday.
NCAA DII: Molly Miller – Drury University (MO)
Coach Miller’s Lady Panthers continued dominating their competition this week, taking two decisive wins to remain unbeaten on the season. The No. 1 team in the country began conference play with a 93-58 triumph over Southwest Baptist. The win marked Drury’s 46th straight regular season victory and 44th consecutive home victory. In their next contest, a non-conference matchup with Arkansas – Fort Smith, the Lady Panthers forced an astounding 44 turnovers en route to a 100-56 blowout. Now 8-0 on the season, Drury next faces off against Eckerd at the Terrace Hotel Classic in Lakeland, Florida next Thursday.
NCAA DIII: Andy Yosinoff – Emmanuel College (MA)
Coach Yosinoff guided his squad to a pair of road wins, including a huge upset over the top-ranked team in the country. The Saints began the week by traveling to take on No. 1 Amherst, who headed into the matchup without a loss on the season. Using an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter, Emmanuel was able to come away with a huge 60-55 win. This was the program’s second ever win over the #1 team in the country, with the first coming over Bowdoin in 2005. Riding the momentum from this historic victory, the Saints came back from a halftime deficit and knocked off MIT by a score of 64-59. The victory improved Emmanuel to 5-3 on the season, and they will start second semester action on December 29th after a loss to Rhode Island College last night.
NAIA: Steve Williamson – William Penn University (IA)
Coach Williamson led William Penn to three conference victories this week, knocking off a ranked opponent in the process. The Statesmen opened the week with a 69-62 road win over Clarke, who was ranked 19th in the nation at the time. WPU followed this up with a convincing 92-59 victory over Graceland in which they led by 28 at the half. They finished the week with a home match-up against Evangel, who had received votes in the last top-25 poll. The Statesmen rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime, where they eventually came away with a hard-fought 68-65 victory. Now 7-3 (5-2 HAAC) on the season, William Penn is not back in action until December 30th, when they travel to take on Judson.
JUCO: Kim Muhl – Kirkwood Community College (IA)
Coach Muhl collected a milestone victory this week as his top-ranked Eagles picked up two more wins to remain undefeated. On Wednesday, Kirkwood defeated Southeastern Community College by a score of 73-66 to move to 10-0 on the season. This win marked Coach Muhl’s 900th in his 31st year at Kirkwood. A 77-42 victory over Iowa Lakes on Saturday was win No. 901 for Coach Muhl, who is now an astounding 901-158 in his career. He is one of five NJCAA coaches to reach 900 career victories, and is the first to do so at the Division II level. His squad will put their undefeated record on the line on Friday against John Wood at the Bobcat Classic in Wisconsin.
