Bard College, located in Northern Dutchess County, New York, invites nominations and applications for a part-time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Bard is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Liberty League.

Responsibilities: Assisting the head coach with day-to day operations of the team including practice planning, scouting, contest preparation, recruiting, team travel operations, community engagement programming, fundraising, camps, clinics and other duties assigned by the head coach. The assistant will conduct the program within the philosophies of the Department of Athletics and Bard College.

Bachelor’s degree, college level playing and or coaching experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The successful candidate must possess computer skills, recruiting capabilities, leadership, role modeling, organizational, and interpersonal skills and ability to work in team relationships with diverse students, faculty, staff and alumni/ae. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and flexibility to work in a NCAA Division III environment. The assistant coach should have knowledge of NCAA rules, Title IX and equal opportunity regulations, FERPA and all applicable Bard College policies and practices.
