Mount St. Mary’s Women’s Basketball Adds Katrice Dickson to Staff; Promotes Antoine White to Associate Head Coach

Mount St. Mary’s women’s basketball coach Maria Marchesano has announced the addition of Katrice Dickson to the staff while promoting Antoine White to Associate Head Coach.

Dickson will serve as the Mount’s Director of Basketball Operations.  The 2018 Mount graduate scored 771 points in 110 career games played for the Mountaineers from 2014-18.  As a senior, she started all 29 games, averaging 10.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists while ranking third in the Northeast Conference with 34.4 minutes per game.  She scored in double figures 17 times, and had a career-high 24 points in the Mount’s win over Fairleigh Dickinson.

After graduating from the Mount, Dickson served as an assistant coach at Smithsburg High School last season, while also working as a basketball trainer.  She also was as an assistant coach for AAU squad Team Takeover in the spring.

“We are so excited to bring Katrice back to the Mount as our new Director of Basketball Operations,” said Marchesano.  “As a player, Katrice was always one of the hardest workers on the court at all times.  She also had a keen eye for the details of the game and a huge competitive spirit.  Those attributes will be immense as she makes the transition to this side of the game.  I know she is going to have a great impact on our program.”

White, entering his fourth season on the Mount’s women’s basketball staff, handles the Mount’s defensive scheme while also being in charge of opponent scouts during the season.  He also excels in individual workout and player development.

“Having Antoine on the staff has been a huge asset to our program.  He’s a guy that brings his hard hat to work every single day and is willing and ready to do whatever the program needs. His ability to teach the game and develop players is high level and has helped our program make huge strides over the last two years.  This promotion is very well deserved and I couldn’t be more happy for him!”
