POSITION DETAILS

– Take and pass the NCAA Division Rules Test
– Comply with all paperwork for eligibility of student-athletes within the NCAA, CUNYAC, and ECAC
– Works closely with the Athletic Director keeping him/her abreast of all planning, organizing, staff, and
development of all aspects of the program
-Assist the Athletic Director with managing the programs budget
– Ability to develop and manage assistant coaching staff
– Attend all athletic department staff meetings and development sessions
-Work with the Athletic Academic Counselors to monitor the progress of student-athletes
– Support the academic development and graduation of student-athletes
– Ability to operate a college van, transporting athletes to all away games
– Assisting in the development of CCNY sports performance program
– Plan, organize, develop and provide sports performance services in accordance with current evidence based
practices for CCNY student athletes
– Work to assist CCNY student athletes in reaching peak performance through strength training, nutrition and or
sports psychology
-Builds and maintains effective relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and faculty.
– Complete other administrative duties as assigned by Director of Athletics

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related experience required. Candidates with sports performance knowledge will
be given priority.

POSITION OVERVIEW
– Assists in developing and implementing varsity sport program(s)
– Recruits local and national high school and junior college players, participating in a variety of admissions events and networking with sources
– Prepares and conducts daily practice and game schedules
– Performs duties in compliance with NCAA rules and policies as well as College and University policy
– Supervises study activities for student-athletes and monitors academic progress reports
– Performs related duties as assigned.
– Assists with planning, implementation, and evaluation of other programs and services for both varsity teams and the general student body.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four years related experience required. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to operate institutional vans. Candidates with sports performance knowledge will be given priority.
