Description: | The Director of Basketball Operations is responsible for all internal operations of the women’s basketball program. Duties include: Coordination of all practices and workouts (home and away); attend all meetings related to facilities; attend game management meetings; coordinate visiting team practice times/shoot around; ensure facility appropriately set up; equipment management; ensure trainer availability; coordinate team meetings and opposing team meet ups; coordinate logistics for new player arrivals; coordinate new room/room changes; communicate turnover of rooms for maintenance; work with housing administration to ensure proper accommodations for athletes; coordinate transportation, accommodation, and meals within budget. Oversee all academic needs for student athletes and communicate with the head coach; implement individual/team study hall; coordinate and track study hall hours and progress reports; issue class absence letters when necessary; communicate with academic advisors to ensure students have tools necessary for success; communicate and enforce behavioral expectations pertaining social conduct, dress, etc.; monitor athletes internet presence with access to all social media. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 3-4 years’ experience working with athletics programs specifically at the university level. |
