Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the head women’s basketball coach at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is responsible for managing and leading all aspects of a competitive Division III women’s basketball program while adhering to the University mission, having academically successful student-athletes, and providing service learning opportunities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the Division III philosophy, outstanding communication skills, dynamic leadership and motivational abilities, highly effective recruiting skills, excellence in on-court teaching and player development, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Work within the University mission to provide a competitive, unique, and memorable collegiate athletic experience for student-athletes •Recruit academically and athletically qualified student- athletes within the scope of MIAC, NCAA, and university guidelines •Monitor team and individual academic success and degree completion •Maintain a program compliant with NCAA, MIAC, and University rules and guidelines •Build, develop, and maintain contacts and relations with athletic alumni •Fundraise for the program in conjunction with university, department, MIAC, NCAA guidelines •All necessary administrative responsibilities for the program •Budget management •Coordinate and supervise assistant coaches •Other related duties incidental to the work described herein or assigned by the Director of Athletics, Associate Director of Athletics, and/or Vice President for Mission and Student Life.
