Augusta University head women’s basketball coach Millette Green announced her first hire in new assistant coach Lauren Johnson. Johnson enters her first year with the team for the 2017-18 season.

Johnson spent four seasons as an assistant coach for Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C., from 2013-17. She picked up the clipboard at SWU after finishing her playing career with Warriors following the 2012-13 season.

“I am pleased to add Lauren Johnson to our staff,” Green said. “After speaking with her, I felt like her core values aligned with mine. Her prior experiences as a player and coach will allow her to contribute to all aspects of our program. I am excited about her joining our program and helping build a championship caliber program.”
