Tennessee State University head women’s basketball coach Jessica Kern announced the addition of Brinee’ Dancer to the women’s basketball staff as the director of operations.
Dancer will handle all of the operational duties for the program in addition to other responsibilities as assigned by Coach Kern.
“Brinee’ Dancer is a rising gem in this business,” commented Kern. “She has a keen eye for detail and in a short period of time has learned all facets of what it takes to make a program function successfully. Being a conference champion at JCSU, she understands what leaving your legacy means and I look forward to what her discipline will bring to our program.”
Dancer comes to Tennessee State after spending last season as a Graduate Assistant coach on the women’s basketball staff at Mississippi Valley State University.
During her stint with MVSU, she coordinated travel, assisted with the budget, conducted video sessions and monitored study hall. She also helped with the development of All-SWAC First Team selection Ashley Beals.
Dancer worked with Lady Eagles Sports in Dallas, Texas for nearly a year as the coordinator. She served as an advisor, coordinated travel and monitored the team.
She also spent time with the Summer Basketball Organization in Fort Worth, Texas as a DFW Elite Basketball Grassroots Assistant Coach.
A native of Duncanville, Texas, Dancer was a member of the women’s basketball team at Johnson C. Smith University for two seasons before graduating from Southern Polytechnic State University with a bachelor of science in business administration.
