Pine Manor College welcomes Alycia Gervais as their new women’s basketball coach for upcoming 2016-2017 season. Coach Gervais brings a solid coaching background after serving the past two seasons as the assistant coach at the Division II University of Virginia College at Wise. She was influential in all aspects of basketball operations as she assisted with the recruiting, scouting, game planning, film sessions, academics and player development.
Coach Gervais started her collegiate coaching experience as the graduate assistant at Adelphi University from 2012-2014. At Adelphi she helped nationally recruit student athletes, pre-practice preparation, scout opponents while managing camps and clinics throughout the year. Adelphi also cracked the Division II top 25 polls while making their first NCAA appearance since 2004 securing the East Regional number 2 seed.
Before her coaching days Alycia was an impressive student-athlete at Daniel Webster where she participated in four sports while becoming one of the most talented basketball players in the New England region. As a standout basketball player she was named the New England Collegiate Conference player of the year in 2011 and 2012 along with being named to the All-New England Division III team from 2010-2012. In addition to her athletic accomplishments she on the student athletics advisory committee (SAAC) all four years and worked as the student assistant with the athletic director helping assist in daily preparations and operations for the athletic department.
The PMC community is excited about Coach Gervais’ appointment and becoming a positive addition to the PMC athletic department and the campus community as well.
