The Northern State University Athletic program is seeking a qualified individual for a graduate assistant in women’s basketball. NSU is a member of NCAA Division II and of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. A graduate assistantship at NSU includes 2/3 tuition remission which includes a waiver of non-resident tuition (upon acceptance to the graduate program) and a monthly stipend. This is a 9-month graduate assistantship program, generally for a 2-year period of time based on the completion of the desired graduate degree. Responsibilities will include assisting the head coach with all areas of the women’s basketball program including coaching, recruiting, fundraising, scheduling, academic monitoring and other duties related to the sport of basketball as assigned by the head or assistant coach. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3.0 GPA), previous college basketball playing experience, and acceptance (or ability to) into the Northern State University graduate program. Candidates must have strong communication skill and proven commitment to student athletes and hard work. Travel is necessary with a valid driver’s license required.”
