Former Fordham women’s basketball player Jessie Frasier is the program’s new assistant director of basketball operations, it was announced Monday by head coach Stephanie Gaitley.
Frasier was a member of the women’s basketball teams during her freshman and sophomore seasons but never saw the court because of injuries. After working in the equipment room as a junior, she rejoined the women’s basketball program to work as a manager in her senior year. The Margate City, N.J. native graduated from Fordham in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
“I remember recruiting Jess when she was at Holy Spirit High school,” Gaitley said. “Our paths reconnected when she was a senior at Fordham. Due to a knee injury, Jess was a student-manager for us. She is a bright young lady with terrific people skills and a high-basketball IQ. I am excited to challenge Jess to help us in many different aspects of our program. She will be a valuable asset as we continue to strive to be an elite program in the Atlantic 10.”
