Missouri Western State University, a NCAA Division II institution that competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This position will assist the Head Coach and Assistant Coach in all areas relating to the operation of the women’s basketball program. Primary responsibilities include: training and development of a specific position group with direction from head coach, oversight and coordination of fundraising, and assisting with summer camps. Secondary duties may include: recruiting and associated travel, academic mentoring of student-athletes, study halls, providing input during practice planning, developing scouting reports, statistical analysis and record keeping, and other duties assigned by the head coach. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, and employment is contingent on acceptance into MWSU Graduate School (2.7 GPA required for admission). Previous experience as a coach and/or player is recommended. Candidate should be well organized, possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently of other coaching staff when necessary. Compensation includes 100% tuition and $5,000 per year stipend. Official transcripts must be provided prior to hiring.
