Xavier University, a Jesuit Catholic institution, seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball. Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Coach organizes and performs coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties as prescribed by the Head Coach in the overall management of the Xavier University Women’s Basketball program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Recruitment of prospective student-athletes of high personal character who can compete for NCAA Championships in an academically rigorous environment.
• Assist the Head Coach in the design and structure of team practices and individual player skill development activities.
• Provide constructive feedback to student-athletes, both as part of practice and through analysis of videotape from practices and games.
• Prepares scouting reports of opponents and coordinates their dissemination to the team.
• Assists with maintaining a positive and competitive team environment.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community to generate interest and support for the program.
