The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Manager of Women’s Basketball Operations. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Athletic Director.

The purpose of this position is to assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with the coordination and direction of every aspect of the Women’s Basketball program. This position will assist with student-athlete retention and academic success of the student-athletes, will direct and manage all aspects of OSU Women’s Basketball Camps to include staff development.

The Manager of Women’s Basketball Operations will also manage the overall budget for the Women’s Basketball Program to include team travel and post-season game operations (NCAA or WNIT tournaments specifically). This position will provide leadership to the Basketball Coaching Staff by assisting with recruiting, opponent analysis, game preparation, practice reviews and evaluations.

The Manager of Women’s Basketball Operations must be able to work independently and analyze current complex situations that arise in day to day operations in order to assist the Head Coach with the direction of the program. Ultimately decisions are reviewed by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Responsible for leading a team of 5-7 managers and thus must recruit, train, and evaluate (hire/reward/fire) as necessary. Evaluate incoming student-athletes’ academic prowess at a cursory level and will assist student-athletes in their admissions process by following up with necessary paperwork. Analyze students’ academic progress based on data supplied by academic services, and qualitative data from students and professors and thus, make recommendations to Head Coaches and Academic Services staff regarding targeted support for particular students if needed. Supply the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with budget reports and projections to ensure appropriate fiscal management and will have signature authority over this budget. Create and direct all facets of OSU Women’s Basketball Camps to include fiscal management, human resource management, housing, dining, equipment and supplies as necessary and any other area pertinent to directing a successful program. This position will also represent the Women’s Basketball Program in public forums.
