The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford announces a vacancy in the position of Head Women’s Basketball Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month position. Pitt-Bradford is a NCAA Division III institution and a founding member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). The candidate’s primary focus will be that of recruitment, administration and coordination of a collegiate women’s basketball program that focuses on the total development of the student-athlete.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven aptitude for coaching as illustrated by a strong work ethic, organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the community. Individuals with experience related to multiculturalism and/or issues related to campus diversity are of particular interest. Responsibilities include successful identification, evaluation and recruitment of academically qualified student-athletes; preparation of daily practices; on-court instruction; scouting; fundraising; and game-day preparations while adhering to Pitt-Bradford, AMCC and NCAA rules and regulations. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as Student Athlete Advisory Council advisor (SAAC), assisting in promoting and developing future basketball alumni and community relations.

Requirements: bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred; three years’ successful collegiate coaching experience; and knowledge and commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy and rules. Salary is commensurate with experience.
