Behn Hired at Brown

Brown Athletics has scheduled a press conference on Wednesday, May 21 to announce that Sarah Behn will be named the ninth head women’s basketball coach in team history. The press conference will take place in the Nelson Fitness Center beginning at 11 a.m.

Behn has spent the previous three seasons as head coach at UMass Lowell, overseeing the Riverhawks’ transition from Division II to Division I play in 2013-14. Prior to her tenure in Lowell, Behn had head coaching stints at Framingham State (1997-00), Franklin Pierce (2000-02), and Foxboro High School (2004-11). Behn is a 1993 graduate of Boston College, where she holds the Eagles’ all-time scoring record with 2,523 career points. Her father, Barry, was a two-time letterwinner on the Brown basketball team from 1960-62.
