Mississippi State head coach Vic Schaefer completed his Lady Bulldog coaching staff with the addition of Brittany Hudson as assistant coach.
Hudson joins associate head coach Johnnie Harris, assistant coach Aqua Franklin and director of operations Maryann Baker in filling the Lady Bulldogs’ Mize Pavilion office suite.
The Daytona Beach, Fla., native becomes the newest addition to the Mississippi State family after serving as assistant coach for her hometown Daytona State College. During her young career, Hudson has gained experience at various levels of the sport. Prior to her season at DSC, Hudson spent a year as director of operations at Morehead State, coordinating travel as well as game-day management and other areas of the program.
Her Division I experience came on the heels of a six-year stint at the AAU level coaching with the prestigious Essence girls basketball program. In addition to coaching the talented players in the program, she also arranged travel and served as site director for numerous tournaments.
