Western Oregon University head women’s basketball coach Greg Bruce will take a medical leave of absence, effective immediately. No timetable has been set for Bruce’s return to the program as he deals with non-life threatening medical issues.

Bruce is in his seventh-year with the WOU program and in his 22nd season as a collegiate head coach, compiling a 346-261 career mark.

Assistant coaches Renae Gregg and Katie Torland will take on all coaching duties during Bruce’s absence
