OFFICIAL: Bostick to Fitchburg State

I mentioned this in my blog this morning. It’s now official – here is the official release from Fitchburg State:

Fitchburg State University has named David Bostick as the 11th head coach in the history of the women’s basketball program this afternoon. The announcement was made by Sue Lauder, Director of Athletics at the University.

"I am very pleased to name David Bostick as the new head women’s basketball coach at Fitchburg State University,” said Lauder. "David’s credentials speak for themselves. He brings great enthusiasm and knowledge to the court and I am very excited to have him join our staff.”

Bostick joins the Fitchburg State sidelines after serving a seven-year stint at Becker College. For the past four seasons, David has served as the Hawks’ assistant women’s basketball coach, responsible for all facets of the game, including game and practice management, recruiting and fundraising.

In addition to his duties on the court, Bostick also served as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Becker while also holding the position of Assistant Director of Campus Activities and Leadership. Prior to these duties, he also held a pair of assistant men’s basketball coaching positions at both Becker College and Quinnsigamond Community College.

A four-year member of the Hawks’ men’s basketball program, Bostick holds two Bachelor degrees from Becker, including a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Bostick will assume all head coaching duties effectively immediately.
