Curry’s contract at Alabama details

New Alabama head coach Kristy Curry had a five-year contract approved unanimously Friday morning by the University of Alabama Systems board of trustees’ compensation committee. The deal will pay her a base salary of $400,000 per season.

There were also a lot of incentives built into the contract, they are:

• $20,000 for participating in the Women’s NIT (only in the next two seasons)

• $20,000 for finishing in the top seven in the SEC regular season (only in the next two seasons)

• $20,000 for winning an SEC regular-season championship

• $20,000 for winning an SEC Tournament championship or reaching the NCAA tournament.

• $40,000 for winning a national championship, or …

• $30,000 for reaching the Final Four, or …

• $20,000 for reaching the Elite Eight, or …

• $15,000 for reaching the Sweet 16

• $20,000 for being named the SEC Coach of the Year

• $25,000 for being named the national coach of the year

• $10,000 for reaching Graduation Success Rate (GSR) and Academic Progress Rate (APR) goals (from and after Aug.. 27, 2014)
