Portland Community College has announced the hiring of Jeff Pasquariello as head women’s basketball coach. Pasquariello comes to Portland with great experience as a player and coach at universities and in professional programs.
Athletic Director Dick Magruder is looking forward to working with Coach Pasquariello, “Jeff has the skills to build a winning women’s basketball program at PCC. Jeff’s tremendous work ethic and his uncanny ability to relate to student athletes is going to serve him well in his new role as head coach of PCC women’s basketball team.”
Pasquariello most recently worked with the San Antonio Spurs working on draft and recruiting picks. Before that Jeff was the Assistant Director of basketball operations and player development coordinator at the University of Texas San Antonio.
When asked about his new position Coach Pasquariello he responded, “I am new to the Portland area this year, and I quickly fell in love with the area and the community that surrounds PCC’s Cascade Campus. I am excited and proud to be part of PCC athletics and look forward to the challenge of mirroring what Coach Broadous has done for the men’s program.”
Pasquariello was raised in Olympia, Washington, and has been living in Portland, Oregon for about a year. At Olympia he was a two year starter all league performer. He then continued on to play at both Western State College and Evergreen State College. At Evergreen his team finished their year with a 21-8 overall and 14-6 conference record.
