In accordance with the mission of the Department of Athletics, administer the progress and success of the intercollegiate women’s basketball program within the guidelines of the NCAA Division II, the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and Bellarmine University. This will include all pre-season, in-season and post-season activities necessary to the development of a regionally and nationally competitive team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: •Recruits highly qualified student-athletes consistent with the standards of a competitive NCAA Division II women’s basketball program and the academic standards of the university; •Develops recruiting strategy and maintain contact with recruits; •Imparts knowledge and passion for the sport of basketball; •Leads, motivates and communicates with student-athletes; •Works with a diverse population; •Possesses knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA rules, policies and procedures; •Establishes and maintains quality relationship with alumni and support organizations; •Supervises assistant coaches; •Coordinates travel arrangements, equipment purchases while adhering to the program’s budget; •Monitors and encourages the scholastic progress of student-athletes in conjunction with the Academic Resource Center; •Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
