The University of Bridgeport Athletics Program is seeking applicants for a Head Women’s Basketball/Cross-Country Coach. Reporting to the Athletic Director, this 12-month, full-time position is responsible for directing and implementing all aspects of the women’s basketball and women’s cross-country program that challenge and support student athletes to reach their full potential in athletic excellence, academics and leadership development. Position responsibilities include the direction of team development, training and strategy in practice and competition and recruitment of prospective student who will thrive at the University of Bridgeport.
The head coach is responsible for building a competitive schedule, management of the team budget, driving the team van and maintenance of equipment. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with NCAA Division II East Coast Conference and University of Bridgeport regulations as well as supervise the assistant coach and/or graduate assistant.
