Ohio Wesleyan University invites applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball and Women’s Tennis Assistant Coach and HHK Instructor. This is a twelve-month full benefit position. The individual will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Athletics, the head coaches of women’s basketball and tennis and the Chair of Human Health and Kinetics.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of competency in basketball and tennis skill instruction and coaching, preferably at the NCAA Division III level; the ability to conduct practice sessions focusing on individual and team skill development; an understanding of the role of intercollegiate athletics in a highly competitive academic environment; strong recruiting, teaching, communication and coaching skills; an inherent ability to build and maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, staff and alumni. This position is responsible for the implementation of the offensive system and game planning for each opponent.
This position will plan, organize, manage and supervise the daily administration, operation of the basketball and volleyball program for Ohio Wesleyan University in accordance with NCAA regulations, North Coast Athletic Conference regulations, University Policies and the requirements of the State of Ohio. This position will instruct courses as assigned by the Chair of the HHK department and other duties as assigned.
