Wilson resigns at E. New Mexico

— Eastern New Mexico University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Lindsey Wilson has announced her resignation, after a successful two-year stint at the helm of the program. She guided Eastern to back-to-back appearances in the Lone Star Conference tournament, after a seven-year hiatus from postseason play.

In two seasons at ENMU, Wilson compiled 17 wins, which included 14 in Lone Star Conference play. In her first year, she led the Zias to their first win over West Texas A&M, since the 2003-04 season. After the season, Precious Herrin was selected Second team All-Lone Star Conference, while four players were named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll. During her second season, Wilson guided Eastern to wins over two of the top three teams in the LSC, with victories over Midwestern State and Abilene Christian.

Eastern New Mexico University Athletic Director Dr. Jeff Geiser has announced that a national search will be conducted, to fill the position.
