Morehead State women’s basketball is adding Connor Williams to its coaching staff. Williams was the 2023 Northwest Florida Daily News Girls Basketball Coach of the Year at Crestview High School.
Williams led Crestview for the past two seasons, taking over for his father Steve who was the longtime head girls basketball coach. Williams began his professional coaching career at Crestview as well, serving as assistant from 2017-18 until 2019-20. The 2018-19 team won the Class 7A, district 2 championship.
As an undergraduate, Williams was a women’s basketball manager at West Florida. He was a part of the 2016-17 Gulf South Conference championship team, a squad that advanced to the Division II Elite 8.
