California State University, Bakersfield has announced that Ari Wideman, head coach of the Roadrunner women’s basketball team, has resigned effective April 20.

Wideman recently completed her second season at the helm of the `Runners. In two years at Cal State Bakersfield, her squads posted a 9-51 record.

Associate head coach Ray Alvarado has stepped in to serve as Interim Head Coach. Alvarado just wrapped his first season with the `Runners and benefits the program with 15 years of collegiate head coaching experience.
