The UVa-Wise women’s basketball program has hired Renee Renz as an assistant to Head Coach Kristin Kunzman. Renz comes to the program after spending the last three seasons as a graduate assistant at Southern Arkansas University.

In her role at Southern Arkansas, Renz assisted in skill development, film exchange and breakdown, scouting, the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, monitoring student-athlete academic success, organized and ran summer camps, and planned team travel.

The new coach earned a bachelor’s of science degree in kinesiology from Texas Woman’s University before adding a master’s of education from Southern Arkansas University.
