University of Missouri-St. Louis Director of Athletics Lori Flanagan has named Katie Vaughn as the Tritons’ women’s basketball head coach. Vaughn, who becomes the 11th head coach in program history, comes to UMSL following three seasons at Lincoln (Mo.) University.

Prior to her appointment at Lincoln, Vaughn served five seasons at Moberly Area Community College, including three seasons (2006-09) as the program’s head coach, where her teams combined for a 56-37 record.

Before Moberly Area Community College, Vaughn served as a graduate assistant at Central Missouri, her alma mater, while obtaining her Master of Science degree in Sports Administration
