Graceland University has named Ugo Nwaigwe as an assistant women’s basketball coach.
“I am thrilled to announce the hiring of Ugo Nwaigwe as an assistant basketball coach to our women’s basketball program” said head coach Frank Howell. “Ugo has had an impressive career as a player both at Wagner College and Temple University, as well as a professional career overseas and experience competing with the Nigerian Women’s Senior National Team. It’s great to have someone joining our program that not only has had success as an athlete, but someone with tremendous academic credibility that graduated with honors at Wagner as an undergraduate and a Master’s degree from Temple.”
“While Ugo has been top notch both as an athlete and as a student, the biggest reason for this hire was based upon the passion and charisma that Ugo has that burns brightly. Her interpersonal skills, her ability to communicate, her devotion to making people around her better, and her potential for leadership are second to none. She will set a tremendous example for our entire women’s basketball program and Graceland University will benefit greatly from having her as a member of our community. I could not be happier right now with this hire.”
